Ciattarelli Opposed ARC Tunnel
Jack Ciattarelli backed Chris Christie’s disastrous decision to cancel the ARC Tunnel and New Jersey is still paying the price.

Ciattarelli publicly supported Christie when he killed the ARC tunnel project in 2010, a project that was already under construction and would have built a new rail tunnel under the Hudson River to ease overcrowding and modernize the Northeast Corridor.
That decision wiped out 6,000 immediate construction jobs and prevented the creation of another 44,000 long-term jobs tied to infrastructure, logistics, and economic growth. It also meant years of terrible traffic and congestion for commuters with New Jersey Transit and Amtrak forced to rely on a pair of aging, overused tunnels built over 100 years ago.
Ciattarelli turned his back on an opportunity to create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs for Building and Construction Trades union members. We can’t trust him to be governor.
On the other hand, Mikie Sherrill has been a steadfast supporter of the Gateway project to build new rail tunnels under the Hudson River. In fact, she’s help deliver billions of federal dollars to repair aging roads and bridges and to support the thousands of good jobs that they will bring for New Jersey workers. We can’t trust Jack Ciattarelli. The choice we have in November could not be clearer.
